Meet Our Team
James Paul Núñez
Since January of 2000 James Nuñez has been an Independent Financial Advisor and President of Agora Investments. He began his career in October of 1996 with Prudential Securities. His areas of expertise include employee benefit plans (qualified / non-qualified), life, estate, education, and retirement planning for a diverse client base that includes corporations their owners, employees and individuals.
From well-informed investors to clients new to investing, Mr. Nuñez utilizes the vast resources that Agora Investments provides through its affiliation with Founders Financial to maximize client opportunities and to achieve their financial objectives.
With Mr. Nuñez’ assistance, clients have an opportunity to build a portfolio of suitable long term investments or develop a strategy for a tailored employee benefit package designed to seamlessly integrate with an employer’s needs and attract and retain quality employees.
As a business owner himself, Mr. Nuñez understands small business needs and is in a position to use his experience to provide other business owners with a multitude of services and solutions to meet their specific business requirements.
A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, Mr. Nuñez joined the U.S. Navy in 1984 and served just short of 8 years while discovering and nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit and pursuing a Management and Social Psychology Degree. After separating from the armed forces in 1991, Mr. Nuñez continued his education and moved to Dayton in 1994.
Mr. Nuñez has volunteered on a variety of local non-profit boards. He was Vice President of K12 Gallery for Young People, Publicity Director for “The Day of Caring” an annual event supported by the Ohio India Project increasing community awareness of the homeless and hungry of our community. He served on the WYSO 91.3 FM (NPR) Development and Fundraising Committee, and has served as a Chamber Challenge Steering Committee member and ambassador for the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. He was formerly Publicity Director of the Latin American Association, an organization that promotes the Latin Culture throughout the Miami Valley.he served on the board of the Greater Dayton Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as Promotions Director. More recently, James has served as advertising director for CUSA (Centerville United Soccer Association) and on the golf committee for The Dayton chapter of the American Red Cross, the Golf committee for St. Vincent De Paul, and is currently on the golf committee for the
James began running in June of 2001 after many years of semi competitive cycling in centuries and other road events and has since completed 10 marathons. He has been an assistant coach and coach to the East Dayton Catholic Striders where both years his girl’s teams came in second place in overall competition. James is currently in pre training for this his final attempt at qualifying for the Boston Marathon. Additionally he will attempt a half Ironman triathlon tentatively in 2013. James is father to 4 daughters and is actively involved in his twin daughters Varsity High School soccer and track activities and supports their efforts in their select league.
